About

Hello!

I’m a freelance journalist and copywriter. I specialise in educational, parenting, and career issues and also enjoy working on general lifestyle and human interest stories. My articles have been printed in a diverse range of publications from well known magazines to small businesses literature.

I was introduced to the world of freelancing many years ago with my first commission from Dog’s Today magazine. It was for an article about, yes, you guessed it, my dog. Since that fateful day when I was enlightened to the joy of working as a freelancer and the flexibility it offered, I knew there was nothing else I’d rather do.

The more research I undertake in this area, I find that sadly only a small percentage of the population have the ideal when it comes to a work-life balance. It seems there are too few business opportunities and jobs that offer flexibility whilst also being rewarding and challenging.

The good news is that this seems to be changing. There are more ways to work now; you can earn money online, do several jobs, set up businesses that provide passive income, the list goes on.
I’m finding more ways to earn money that don’t actually feel like jobs all the time. That’s why I set up this blog, to follow the trend
and hopefully offer up a few ideas and suggestions on finding flexible, fun and well paid work.

Disclaimer

Just to be sure…..

I am not a careers advisor. I have never worked in any kind of job advisory role or HR. I am just blogging about this stuff.

I have absolutely no experience in most of the opportunities I write about on these pages, but I’m interested in researching them and blogging about them because they look like fun stuff and may serve to inspire creative thoughts and ideas for the reader.

This blog is set up for fun. I probably will try most of the stuff I write about or I might not. Read it and then think for yourself. Perhaps talk to a professional. Question everything and develop your own opinion and thoughts before acting on something that you read on a blog.
