Are you a flexible worker?

Do you set your own hours? Work where you like and find yourself taking fun opportunities and varied roles that seem to come under the heading of ‘work?’
If so, could you get in touch? Flexbileworkinglife.com is looking for the lucky folk who are freelancers, business owners, entrepreneurs and basically, anyone who isn’t wearing a corporate cloak.
As this site is all about liberating others to break the shackles of the 9 to 5 regime, I thought it was about time I put some creative and inspiring ‘job profiles’ up here. I already have one from the lovely Paul about his job with AQA as an online web researcher, so if you would like to share your brilliant day job then please go to contact and send me a message. I’d really love to hear from you. Really.
But just in case you are one of those unfortunate few who think that by directing me to a page that reads “Make money online today” or “Earn thousands in a week by clicking here…” Then please don’t bother.
You should never have to pay to work and all of those sites seem to want some kind of up front money, and also, if you are one of those people flogging those sites, perhaps you need to re-consider your dreams.
Does anyone want to be an internet con-artist when they grow up? I think not.
So, flexible workers and free thinkers, get in touch if you can answer yes to more than one of the points below:
- You sometimes work in your dressing gown
- Your work break entails watching daytime TV/ housework/ sunbathing/ gaming/ sleeping/ etc. and then it turns from a ‘work break’ into an ‘afternoon off.’
- When you see people in suits rushing around you feel a tiny bit smug
- You can not walk past a PC without checking your email
- You have more than 200 friends on MySpace and Facebook
- The immediate future is full of possibilities
- You have more friends online than offline
- You work when you like
- Your hourly rate changes from hour to hour
- The chance of something absolutely wonderful and spontaneous happing in the next minute is good to certain
- When someone asks ‘what do you do for a living?’ you can’t decide on an answer
- Holidays feel like work and work feels like a holiday
- You really don’t get all this ‘work/life balance’ stuff
