Dropshipping
Once you’ve decided what niche you’d like to concentrate on eBay, the next thing to look at is where to source stock.
This firstly means that you have to take a second to consider some things, firstly, if you haven’t done so already, you need to look at registering your business and getting some tax advice.
Secondly you need to do your research.
Before buying any kind of stock to sell, you want to make sure that you are getting at the right price. [Read more]

Using eBay as an income stream is a great way to create some money online.
Most people use eBay as a way to de-clutter their house and get rid of unwanted Christmas presents, but when it comes to buying stock to re-sell, it can be a tricky business. The last thing you want is stock selling at a loss, or even worse, stock that you can’t get rid of.
So how to you choose what to sell?

The other day, my sister said ‘You don’t really work, do you?”
“What?!” I said thinking of the many hours, day and night that I’m glued to this keyboard, “Of course I work!”
“Yeah,” She went on, “But not real work, not like where you have to be at a desk at a time and like, that’s it.”
Despite her thinking that my work is not ‘real’ work (whatever that is) she does have a point.
The perks of working at home are that I don’t have to be at this desk at 8am every morning. But I don’t have to leave it at 6pm either and in fact, although this is a huge bonus, if I’m not careful I can find myself checking email constantly and writing well into the wee hours of the morning. Geoff Goble, supporting artiste, shares his story of how he became an actor and the flexible working lifestyle he enjoys when not on screen.
“I started my working life in banking, way back in 1963, transferring to the bank’s computer department in 1969 until 1973.
After 4 years in the computer department of a local manufacturing firm, in 1977 I joined a software house, and continued working in the IT industry, latterly as a freelance IT consultant analyst/programmer between 1987 and 2003, when I retired from that work.
I had been interested in theatre since my childhood, and, encouraged by my younger daughter (then 11, and now working professionally in the theatre as both deputy box office manager and independent producer), I joined a local amateur dramatic society in 1994, and have continued performing, directing, scriptwriting, stage managing, lighting and set design with many local theatre companies ever since. One thing I constantly mull over as a freelancer, is how I can increase my turnover.
I love my job and I’m lucky to have a steady stream of ideas and work coming in, but when I look back over my week, there seems to be a lot of time that I can’t account for.
I want to produce articles more quickly, get more efficient with my research, get commissions quicker and generally stop messing about. I think it must be the same with any freelancing position, there is always the question about increasing your turnover.

Citizen photojournalism is one way to sell prints and make money online. However, have a bit of sensitivity. Ages ago, before I broke into the world of freelancing, someone asked me if I worked for money or happiness. It didn’t take a second for me to reply.
The work I did at the time was for money.
I sat in a cubicle for eight hours a day, came home exhausted and had to use my free time at the weekend to catch up on chores. I can safely say that at that time, nothing about work made me happy. I’m painting a grim picture, I know, and I also know that many people adore working in an office, but my point is, if I asked you that question today, what would be your answer?
I have a friend, he works in a factory as a floor manager and he despises his job. Whenever I see him out of work, he talks about work. He complains about the people he works with, [Read more]

If you spend all day in a job waiting to get home so you can crack on with your hobby, then chances are, you could probably make some money at it.
Because not all hobbies are going to be money makers, the first thing to do is to take a good look at your past time and view it from a different angle.
Think about what you are doing and how it might be profitable. Are you creating something? Providing a service? Doing an action that could offer valuable information? Does your hobby give you insider knowledge?
For the purpose of this article, I phoned up my sister and asked her what her hobby was.
My sister is four months pregnant, so much of her activities have changed in the past weeks, but one constant passion she has is ‘reading.’ Taking my sisters hobby as an example, I decided to look at if you could make money from reading. [Read more]
