Web Based Researcher
There are two companies that I know about so far who are hiring web based researchers to work from home. (I’ll be adding more links to this post as I find other companies who employ web based researchers.)
Both companies ask you to do a short test; if you pass, and I understand that you can take the test numerous times, then you can work from home as a web based researcher supplying answers to questions.
Basically, you are answering queries that people text in - so they could be about absolutely anything!
Such as, random ones like (and I’m just guessing here from what people have told me) ‘How many hamsters does it take to fill a taxi cab?’ Or bizarre and vague like, ‘When will I be famous?’
There must be a trick to answering these questions and having specific web pages at your fingertips that will help you track down the answers quickly, because the more questions you answer, the more you get paid.
You can work flexibly and it seems like a really fun job, as you get a variety of questions that you need to research and answer. But this is by no means a get rich quick scheme!
Good Luck!
Web Based Researcher companies:
Textperts - update! Thanks to Paul who tells me that Textperts aren’t hiring at the moment. You can complete the test through this link, but you may go onto a waiting list instead of being offered work immediately…be sure to check!
If you know of any other companies who hire or websites that help with web based research, let me know!
